Dr Rachael Bergman
FRACP, Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist
I am a Gastroenterologist currently working as a specialist at Auckland City Hospital and at Auckland Gastroenterology Associates. I completed my medical degree at Auckland University in 1993 under my maiden name of Brook and went on to work as a House Officer and Registrar in the three public Auckland hospitals. Having completed my Fellowship in 2004, I took up a consultant position at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, UK. Whilst working there I pursued research in one of my sub-specialist interests, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). I am married with three energetic school-aged children.
My practice is in general Gastroenterology, Endoscopy and Hepatology with special expertise in IBD and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I pride myself on communication with my patients and medical colleagues. I am happy to discuss referrals via e-mail or phone via my rooms.
